Shared Health

About the series

Shared Health

Health is personal. The conditions that shape it are shared.

About this series

Access to care, a stable home, a sense of safety and belonging, and information people can trust matter in their own right. They shape health, security and the choices people can make about their lives. They also depend on the resources, relationships and institutions communities share.

Across Colorado, Shared Health examines how care, housing, work, ownership, policy and information affect people’s lives. The burdens aren’t shared equally, and the stories begin with those most directly affected. They also look outward, at how shared institutions can carry strain or provide stability, and at what becomes possible when more people have a say in the conditions shaping their health.
